How the DAW works

1. This is a turn-based collaborative DAW.
2. The bottom of the screen indicates whose turn it is.
3. When it is your turn, you can make any changes you want.
4. When your turn is over, select the End turn button on the bottom of the screen.
5. You can record mic audio loops in the Audio Loops rack — recording gives you a one-bar count-in, then the loop is kept in memory only and erased when you close the window. Use headphones to avoid speaker bleed.
6. Drums and synths are built from patterns A–D (each one bar). Edit a pattern in the big grid, then paint it across bars in the Arrangement panel — no squinting at tiny cells on long songs.
7. Hovering a piano roll previews the scale-aware 3rd and 5th; shift-click drops the whole chord. Each synth also has an arpeggiator (Synth controls) that spreads chords into runs.
8. Use the Mixer panel (right sidebar) for per-track volume, reverb and delay sends.
9. You can export MIDI or WAV files of your completed track on the bottom right.
